6, Beam End Repair

Please note that the method shown is schematic only. The number of holes the size and the length of the dowels is determined by engineering calculation for which the following information is required:

Length and section size of the new timber to be installed
Timber species and moisture content
Length and section sizes of the full beam
Current and anticipated loading

Mark our position of holes with template
Drill holes correct diameter and length
Step 2
Install calculated volume of thixotropic adhesive Timberset, or CB10TSS,
or CB10T to rear of drilled hole using extension tube.
Step 3
Rotate/push rods into adhesive, check holes are 100% full.
Leave to cure.
Remove supports.
